The Cycle Oxford Festival 2009 from Cycle Oxford on Vimeo.
Oxford, a city whose arteries flow with bicycles every day of the year, but on the second weekend of May cycling in Oxford gets an injection of creativity. The Cycle Oxford Festival is an opportunity to play with Oxford’s relationship to cycling, in the pursuit of inventing new cycling adventures.
The 2009 festival had a Dance Attack Alleycat, a Bicycle Bell Orchestra, a Fastest Mechanic competition, a Bike Polo Tournament, music, movies and a lot of fun to boot.
For 2010 we’re inviting people to submit short films about cycling in Oxford for the opening party on May 7th. This party will take place at the finish of the 2010 Festival Alleycat which will be a much anticipated rerunning of The Art Attack Alleycat.
May 8th will play host to the Bike Polo Tournament, an Alleykitten and a whole lot of music and merriment.
The festival closes on May 9th with the first ever Oxford cargo bike race, tweed, picnics and of course an all new Bicycle Bell Orchestra experience.
